EPA announces the release of the newest version of its EPA
Metadata Editor (EME) at http://geogateway.epa.gov/EME/.
EME 3.1 is compatible with ArcGIS 10, and provides users with the
ability to create and edit metadata records that meet the EPA
Geospatial Metadata Technical Specification and FGDC Content Standard
for Digital Geospatial Metadata (CSDGM) requirements. This newest
version runs both as an ArcGIS extension, as well as a standalone
desktop tool.
Because of the significant changes in how metadata are handled in
the ArcGIS 10 environment, EPA is holding a web conference to provide
metadata developers with an overview of some of the recent changes to
the ArcGIS environment, in addition to information about the EME
update.
This session is scheduled for Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 3:00 PM
Eastern. To access the web conference, go to http://portal.epa.gov/webconference,
and enter 209597 into the 'Join Conference' box (no key necessary). The
telephone line for this conference is: 1-866-299-3188, code
2025661036.
