The work flow model is intended as a general roadmap for ISO geospatial metadata implementation. Agencies and organizations are encouraged to adapt the model to suit their own structure, resources, and ISO implementation status.
Development of the Work Flow Model
This model was developed from the agency use cases compiled for the 2013 Federal Metadata Coordinator Webinar. As patterns in ISO implementation methods, questions, and criteria emerged, they were plugged into stages of implementation and refined based on additional input from the contributing agencies (Cenus Bureau, USGS, EPA, NOAA) and members of the FGDC Metadata Working Group.
